  • PowerPoint templates. Design a presentation once and let your reports fill it with live data every time they run. From the Templates page, create a PowerPoint template, open it in PowerPoint to lay out your slides, and it is filled with your latest figures whenever the report is sent. Excel and PowerPoint templates now sit side by side on the same Templates page, switched with a simple toggle.
  • Attach a PowerPoint template to a report. Choose a template as a report attachment to deliver a ready-made presentation to your recipients, with the option to also include a PDF copy alongside it.
  • Set up the PowerPoint add-in on your own computer. A new “Set up PowerPoint add-in” page gives you a one-time setup you can run to enable the KPImailer task pane in your desktop PowerPoint, the same way the Excel add-in works.
  • PowerPoint template tables match your Qlik look. Tables in a filled PowerPoint template now line up numbers to the right and carry through the conditional cell colours you set in Qlik, so the delivered slide reads the way your app does.
  • PowerPoint templates are cleaned of outside links on upload. When you publish a PowerPoint template, any links to external files are removed so a delivered presentation can’t reach out to the internet when a recipient opens it. If your template points to an image kept outside the file, embed the image in the slide instead - otherwise it will appear blank.
  • The PowerPoint add-in sets itself up on the server. After installing or updating KPImailer, the task pane is ready in desktop PowerPoint for everyone on that machine automatically, with no manual step - the same as the Excel add-in.
  • Reports filtered by a date now include their data. Reports using a date filter (such as yesterday or last month) could arrive with empty tables or a missing spreadsheet attachment. Date filters now select the correct dates, so these reports include their data as expected.
  • Data placeholders split while typing now fill correctly. A placeholder that PowerPoint broke into pieces as you typed it is now recognised and filled with live data instead of showing up as raw text in the delivered slide.
  • Filters on number fields now select the right values. A filter on a field that holds numbers - a year, a month number, a numeric code - now applies the value you picked, including values shown with leading zeros (like 007) or as decimals. Before, a filter like this could quietly match nothing and leave the affected tables or figures blank.
  • An empty date range no longer sends everything. When a report’s date filter works out to no dates at all, the report now treats that as “no data” for the period instead of ignoring the filter and delivering the full, unfiltered figures.
  • PowerPoint template messages no longer mention Excel. A few notices shown while editing a PowerPoint template referred to Excel by mistake and now correctly say PowerPoint.
