Licensing your installation
Activates a fresh RLV Scribe installation with a trial license, by registering it with Relevance Management. This happens once per installation, before anyone can sign in.
- Open RLV Scribe’s address in a browser -
https://<your-server>:7011. A fresh, unlicensed installation goes straight to the registration screen; you don’t need to sign in first. - Fill in your organization’s details:
- Company Name, Country, Contact Name, Contact Phone Number, and Contact Email - all required. Relevance Management uses these to identify your license and to reach you about it.
- If this server reaches the internet only through a proxy, turn on Use Proxy Server and
fill in the Proxy Address (starting with
http://orhttps://), plus Proxy Username / Proxy Password if the proxy requires authentication. - Select Register. RLV Scribe contacts Relevance Management’s licensing server and, on success, shows a confirmation with the trial license’s validity date.
- Select OK to continue - you’ll land on the sign-in screen next; see Signing in.
There’s no activation key or client code to type in - registering creates one automatically, tied to this machine.
When to change this
Section titled “When to change this”- Renewing or upgrading your license happens outside RLV Scribe - contact
office@relevance.ro. Once they confirm the change, come back to the admin console and select Retry on the license banner (see What can go wrong) to pull the updated status - no need to register again. - Moving RLV Scribe to a different server requires a fresh registration on the new machine, since the license is tied to this machine’s identity.
What can go wrong

Section titled “Worked example”A new RLV Scribe installation is opened in a browser for the first time. It goes straight to
registration; an administrator fills in the company’s name, country, and their own name, phone,
and email, leaves the proxy toggle off (this server has direct internet access), and selects
Register. A confirmation shows a trial valid for the coming weeks. Weeks later, the trial is
close to expiring, so the administrator emails office@relevance.ro to arrange a full license;
once confirmed, they return to the admin console and select Retry on the license banner
rather than registering again.
