Bulk edit

Bulk edit applies a single value to every currently visible row in a Number or Numeric with Suggestions column, instead of editing each row one at a time.

Steps

  1. On a Number or Numeric with Suggestions custom column, turn on Enable Bulk Edit in the property panel.
  2. In the grid, a dedicated bulk-edit row appears for that column. Type a value into it and apply it - every row currently visible under your Qlik selections gets that value in that column, in a single action.

Bulk-edited values save the same way as any other edit - immediately if autosave is on, or as a pending change waiting for Save if it’s off (see Editing data).

Worked example

A cost-allocation sheet needs the same 12% overhead rate applied to every one of the Marketing department’s 40 rows. Instead of typing 12 forty times, the analyst first selects Marketing in Qlik so only its 40 rows are visible, types 12 into the bulk-edit row for the Overhead % column, and applies it - all 40 visible rows update at once.
