Signing in

Covers the first sign-in to RLV Scribe’s admin console, and changing the password RLV Scribe starts with.

Who does this

Normally the same person who installed and licensed RLV Scribe. RLV Scribe has a single administrator account, not individual logins per person - see What can go wrong below.

Steps

1. Go to https://<your-server>:7011 and sign in with:

   • Username: admin
   • Password: RLVScribe2025_

   The first successful sign-in with these credentials is what creates the administrator account in RLV Scribe’s database - there’s no separate account-creation step during install.

2. Optionally turn on Remember me to stay signed in on that browser.

3. Change the default password immediately - open the user menu (top right) and select Change Password. Enter the current password, then a new one (at least 6 characters, entered twice to confirm).

Danger

admin / RLVScribe2025_ is a fixed default shipped with every installation, not something generated per install. Anyone who knows it can sign in to any unlicensed-then-secured RLV Scribe installation reachable on the network. Change it as your first action after installing.

What can go wrong

Caution

There’s only one administrator account. RLV Scribe doesn’t currently support inviting additional users or assigning roles - whoever needs to manage connections, tables, or licensing shares this single login. Treat the password like any other shared administrative credential.

Caution

Forgotten the password, and it’s the only account? There’s no self-service password reset from the sign-in screen. Contact Relevance Management support for recovery guidance rather than reinstalling, which would lose your existing connections and table configuration.

Worked example

Right after installing and licensing RLV Scribe, an administrator signs in with the default admin / RLVScribe2025_ credentials, immediately opens Change Password from the user menu, and sets a password that matches their organization’s credential policy - before doing anything else in the console.
